Are there any miscellaneous charges?

​No, there is no registration fee or deposit required.

Is it possible to enroll my child in a trial session?
​​​​​​
Yes, online lessons may not be ideal for every child. We recommend attending 1 to 2 (paid) trial sessions to help determine if online lessons at Mr Ong Math are a good fit.

​Can my child attend in-person lessons?
​
​​​​No, all our lessons are conducted live via Zoom. We will provide a meeting ID and passcode before the first lesson and these will remain the same for every session. Please have students log in about 5 minutes before each lesson begins.

How are the lessons conducted?
​​​​​​
Each week, customized worksheets in PDF format are sent via email one week prior to the lesson. Parents or students should print these worksheets in advance to prepare for the upcoming lesson.

​Is there a separate charge for the materials/worksheets?​​
No, there is no additional fee for the materials/worksheets.

​Will there be any homework?
​​​Yes, homework is typically assigned after each lesson, except during examination periods or after exams.

How should they submit their homework?
​
​​​​Once the homework is completed, please use a scanner or an app like CamScanner to scan it in PDF format. Email it to mrongmath@gmail.com at least one day before the lesson to allow time for review. Any mistakes or misconceptions will be addressed in the next lesson.

​​​​Are parents required to teach their child how to do their homework?​​​
No, parents don’t need to personally teach their child. Instead, they should focus on facilitating and ensuring that their child completes the homework properly and submits it on time. This support helps the child learn more effectively during lessons.

Are there any lessons during public holidays?
​​​​​​​
Yes, lessons are as usual on public holidays except for Chinese New Year.

What happens if my child can’t attend a lesson?
​​​​​​​
A video recording of the lesson will be emailed to you. (strictly for absent students only)
Please note that no refunds will be provided for missed lessons.
